The 2023 USL League Two season opened for Peoria City with a disappointing home loss after the home side went into the half-time break 2-1 up. St Charles came back in the second half with goals on 69’ and 78’ to win their first points of the season after opening with a 0-4 home loss to perennial powerhouse the Des Moines Menace.
